If I finally get a new PC this Christmas (unlikely) there might be some updates before the next festive season.
I did buy a bundle of Christmas singles a few months back but this knackered laptop struggles with the easiest of tasks, so nothing has been saved to file yet :(

This is a good if predictable collection including some punk rock notables such as the Ramones, Damned, Stiff Little Fingers, Dickies, and ex-pistols The Greedies.
Also a good selection of lesser known bands.
It's in high quality 128kbps which was state of the art when I found it, but it still sounds good to me :)

I heard my first Christmas song on Radio 1 the other day (the Wham one) and realised it's only 104 days to Christmas ... yeah I know it's about a 90 days before I should be hearing Xmas tunes but even the Wham one is better than some of the crap they play normally.
So here's a song I expect to hear soon, and I won't mind if they do :)

As promised here is that Frankie song again.
Frankie's Christmassy tune came in a nice gift sleeve which was impossible not to tear if you wanted the listen to the record.
The nine and a half minute version of Power features Red Dwarf's Chris Barrie doing his best Mike Read and Ronald Reagan impressions before the song.
I wasn't sure where track 3 ends and 4 begins so I've kept them as one ten minute file make your own choice, also they are listed in the wrong order on the disc.

Back in time for Christmas yipee! but on the downside I got one of those DMCA thingies that I've avoided for ages - "We have received a DMCA complaint for your blog, Nothing Better To Do At Christmas."
So you can't download the rather scratched 7" version of Power of love that I posted last year .... never mind, I had made the comment that you should only download it if you wanted "that authentic charity shop sound" as it was in pretty bad condition, I have recently ripped the far better 12" version which I might post in it's place nearer the time.

Along with Wizzard's "I Wish it Could Be Christmas Every Day" this is the classic Christmas tune.
I know White Christmas has probably sold more but ask anyone under 60 the first Xmas tune that pops in their head and it'll probably be this.
The B Side is Noddy Holder at full throttle.
Quality is really good as I bought this when it came out and it's not been out of my possesion unlike the others posted.

God I fancied Kate Bush at the time, a bloke I met several years later who claimed to know her reckons she was a bit of a go'er but I don't believe a word of it as it spoils my vision of her.

I know I should have started this when Christmas began, the last day of August as I remember :) At least that was when my local supermarket started stocking Mince Pies and advent calenders with a best before November 08 date on them?

Anyway I thought I'd split the Christmas posts from the rest of the stuff here in a festive gesture :)

To start it's gonna be some you've seen before on the other blog last Christmas, then I'll add some different stuff later.
At the last count I had about 2,000 Christmas songs in mp3 form, and about 10% of these are worth listening to .... haha (or should that be hoho).
